Could these baby names make your child an academic success?
The name you bestow upon your child has long been regarded as a momentous event, with many parents deliberating on what to call their new baby long before it arrives. Social studies have even been conducted that show how a name can impact a person’s career choices, behaviour and even physicality through their life.
With that in mind, we thought it would be interesting to analyse our internal data to find out which names correspond with academic success. By looking through 10,000 names from the last 5 years, and what grades those students achieved, we were able to compile a list of the 10 A* baby names for boys and girls.
Here they are!

Alex Dyer, founder of Tutor House, said,
“Parents often spend a great deal of time deliberating on what name to give their child, and rightly so! It forms part of your child’s identity, with social science studies finding that a name can influence careers, personality traits and even physicality.”
“With that in mind, and considering the wealth of data we have, we thought it would be interesting to see what names are most commonly associated with being academically gifted. While, obviously, your name has no reflection on your potential, the results are still interesting and might prove useful for parents who are struggling to settle on a name!”
